The earth needs us to grow food differently. CO2 levels are rising and insect populations are declining. Broad scale, fossil fueled, synthetic pesticide and fertiliser dependent agriculture is a part of the cause.
You can make a difference by choosing to consume pesticide free food.
The Margaret River Aquafarm is the largest aquaponics farm in the state of Western Australia. We are:
- low water use
- pesticide free
- small area footprint
- powered by solar
- highly productive
- growing over 30 different crops PLUS fish
We are about pure local food grown in a biological, organic, symbiotic system between fish and plants. The fish feed the plants and the plants clean the water for the fish. There are no pesticides or chemicals used.
Our produce is available to the public through the Margaret River Farmers Market and is also supplied to select restaurants in the Margaret River region. Chefs are welcome to a tour of the greenhouse to see how it works and what’s on offer.
